Declan O'Rourke to play Down Syndrome Galway charity concert

Singer-songwriter to share stage with Kilfenora Ceili Band, Don Stiffe, Matt Keane, and others

LEADING IRISH singer-songwriter Declan O'Rourke will join a gathering of Irish trad titans in the county this weekend for a charity concert in aid of Down Syndrome Galway.

Declan, who recently released his new album, In Full Colour, and is currently undertaking his own solo tour, will play the Claregalway Hotel, this Saturday at 8pm.

The line-up also features the Kilfenora Ceili Band; trad/folk singer Matt Keane; Galway folk singer-songwriter Don Stiffe; Inishbofin singer Dessie O'Halloran; guitarist and songwriter John Faulkner; the Inishbofin Ceili Band, Clare musician Conor McCarthy, Johnny O'Halloran, Annette Roland, Galway's Yvonne Flynn, James Clenaghan, and a sean nós dance display.

Tickets are €25 and are available from the Claregalway Hotel (091 - 738300 ) and Down Syndrome Galway (www.downsyndromegalway.ie or 087 - 6448277 ). All proceeds from the ticket sales benefit Down Syndrome Galway and its speech and language/education services for its members.
