The 'miraculous' Oh Pep! to play Róisín Dubh

Acclaimed Melbourne duo arrive in Galway next week

OH PEP! play "faultless folk-rock," according to Rolling Stone, that is "filled with magic," say NPR Music, and which Consequence Of Sound has described as "pop at its most kinetic”. Galway will find out why next week.

Australian duo Oh Pep! play the Róisín Dubh on Sunday November 6 at 8pm, as part of their current tour, promoting their debut album Stadium Cake. The duo are Olivia Hally and Pepita Emmerichs, both from Melbourne, and both 24 years of age. Stadium Cake came out in July, through Star House Collective, and has been called "miraculous” by Paste Magazine and "instantly captivating” by Stereogum. The Irish Times called them “musical thrill-seekers mining the pop/folk hinterland for foot-stomping nuggets of gold".

The duo have appeared at Primavera, CMJ 2015 (radio station KCRW chalked them up as one of its top artists that 'won' the festival ), SXSW, and The Great Escape, and they have supported Lake Street Dive and Nathaniel Ratecliff & The Night Sweats. After their performance at Nashville's Americana’s, Pop Matters described "Seeing Oh Pep! is one of those times when the crowd realizes they're seeing future stars for the first time."

Tickets are available at www.roisindubh.net, the Ticket Desk at OMG Zhivago, Shop Street, and The Róisín Dubh.
