OPTIMO - the DJ duo of Twitch and Johnny Wilkes - who play everything from obscure post-punk to floor-filling house music, will spin the decks at Electric on Friday July 15 as part of Galway International Arts Festival.
With fearless eclecticism and a love of making people dance, Optimo have been running one of Glasgow’s most successful club nights for nearly 20 years.
Beholden to no single genre, JD Twitch and Johnny Wilkes play everything from obscure post-punk to floor-filling house music; an ethos which is reflected through their label Optimo Trax, and the various compilations they have curated; most recently, So Low, a collection of post-punk rarities.
This is a Bap to the Future show and takes place on the Electric mainfloor. Support is from School Tour and Lolz. Doors are at 10pm. Tickets are €10 and available via www.giaf.ie/events/optimo
