Eric Lalor @ Róisín Dubh Comedy Clubh

YOU KNOW Eric Lalor as that lad Cathal, who your ma loves to hate off Fair City, or from his appearances on Republic of Telly, Next Week’s News, Craig Doyle Live, and The Apprentice. He's also a brilliant stand-up comic.

It is in that latter guise that the Dubliner will play the Róisín Dubh Comedy Clubh tomorrow at 8.30pm. He first came to attention with RTÉ’s Joy In The Hood, and according to series creator, Des Bishop, is “a pure natural”. His first year in the highly competitive stand-up comedy world saw him win the Comedy Cellar and Capital Comedy Club’s Best Newcomer Award. He has since been crowned Irish Comedian Of The Year by the readers of Entertainment.ie, twice. Chortle.co.uk described him as, "fawless... It’s like Rab C. got Irish, got eloquent, but stayed scum”. The Kilkenny People called him, "excellent, bellyachingingly funny".

Support from is Ryan Cullen. His subtle blend of droll, dark humour, and intelligent one-liners, along with his unpredictable and disarming nature, has seen him win various comedy competitions across Ireland and Britain. He was also a writer on Republic of Telly and Callan's Kicks.

There will be a slot from comedian Emma Doran. The MC is Steve Bennett. Tickets are available at www.roisindubh.net, the Ticket Desk at OMG Zhivago, Shop Street, and The Róisín Dubh.
