Galway coffee brand named official coffee supplier to Norwich City

Norwich City FC may feel mugged off this year after being relegated from the English Premiership, and they probably have “a latte” on their mind at the minute.

Fans, however, will be delighted with the latest news coming from the city, as they welcome another Irish star into their ranks.

Galway coffee chain, The Galway Roast just signed for Norwich City FC as a club partner, after supplying coffee to Galwegians for the last decade.

The coffee house founded in Tuam, Galway, has been announced as the primary coffee supplier to Norwich.

Niall Murphy, owner of the Galway Roast, has a very special relationship with the area.

“My mother is from Norwich, I spent a lot of my youth in the city, and I’m a Norwich supporter,” he said.

Opening a new coffee shop in the city centre of Norwich, coffee lovers have been lining up to taste Ireland’s finest brew.

“Business has been very good,” said Mr Murphy, “and it has been picking up as the days go by.”

Mr Murphy, and his team, will also be hoping to give the Canaries and their fans a boost going into the new season.

“From June 4, all kiosks and stands at Carrow Road will be serving Galway Roast coffee.”

Murphy hopes that his special blend can lead Norwich back to the top flight, and give Irish internationals, Robbie Brady and Wes Hoolahan, the energy they need to go onto the pitch and perform at the highest level.

Plans to open more shops on home soil have not ground to a halt either, with the official opening of the Galway Roast, Mullingar, coming in the next week.
