Scoil Chaitríona Senior release ‘angelic’ anthem

THE CHOIR of Renmore’s Scoil Chaitríona Senior national school will perform its new anthem, celebrating life in the school, and release a mini-album of songs, on Wednesday December 9.

To mark the school’s 40th year, the Scoil Chaitríona choir will sing the new anthem, written by Anne Flaherty and Gerry Kennedy, as part of the Renmore parish annual carol service, which is attended by more than 1,200 people each year. The launch and carol service is at 7.30 pm in St Oliver Plunkett Church.

The Scoil Chaitríona choir’s mini-album features six songs, including the new anthem, ‘Real Love’, and ‘Mary’s Boy Child’. It will also feature past pupils, the singers Clare Quinn and Jennifer Conroy, and uileann piper Liam Duggan. The CD will be available for €6 at Scoil Chaitríona, Renmore Parish, and local businesses in Renmore. The CD is being released in partnership with the Connacht Hotel, Renmore.
