THIS SATURDAY, 110th Street, one of Galway's leading clubnights, will celebrate its 17th birthday with a set in The Blue Note, from 8.30pm until late.
Residents Cyril Briscoe and Cian Ó Cíobháin, who have been delivering quality nights to three, perhaps four, generations of clubbers, will be joined by special guests Augustus & John, who will also be launching their debut album, Above Water Hull.
Augustus & John are Cane141's Mike Smalle and Italy's Matteo Grassi. Above Water Hull pulses with hooks and atmospheres inspired by ambient, slow-motion-disco, Italo, rocksteady, house, and film soundtracks. The CD version includes a story written by Claire-Louise Bennett, whose debut novel, Pond, was recently published by Stinging Fly Press.
Admission is free.
