The team at Galway’s An Púcán have just scooped another national award - this time at the 2015 Irish Whiskey Awards which were held in Dublin on Thursday last.

To add to their recent Connacht Bar Of The Year and Best Social media titles they walked away with a Gold Medal in the Connacht Whiskey Bar category as well as winning the very prestigious Best Single Cask Irish Whiskey for their own An Púcán ‘Revival’ bottling with Teeling Whiskey.

This is a marvellous achievement for the bar and for Galway and, along with Garavan’s bar retaining their title, keeps the city in sharp focus as a whiskey destination of choice.

Having founded the Irish Whiskey Society Galway Chapter and The Galway Whiskey Trail, An Púcán is now a leading force in Galway and Ireland’s Whiskey Renaissance and plans to build upon their success to date with more whiskey for Galway.

You can try their award winning whiskey at An Púcán on Forster Street. Tickets are also on sale for their last whiskey tasting event of the year, taking place on November 5 at 6.30pm. They’re priced at €25 and can be bought at https://anpucancelticwhiskey.eventbrite.ie/
