AIMEE BANKS, a 13-year-old from Moycullen, has made the Irish final of Junior Eurovision 2016, winning the televised heat on Sunday of the song contest, which is being broadcast on TG4.

Aimee, who is a stage three student of Stagecoach Galway, Clare and Mayo, and who has been attending Stagecoach for three years, will compete in the Irish final in two weeks time, the winner of which will take part in the Junior Eurovision 2016 final in Sofia, Bulgaria, on Saturday November 22.
