This autumn/winter why not learn to play traditional Irish music or take up a new musical instrument?
The Galway city branch of Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Éireann has a range of classes to choose from including fiddle, accordion, banjo, mandolin, uileann pipes, the harp, piano, bodhrán, tin whistle, flute, and ceilí band drums. Classes will be provided for all age groups and levels.
Go along to the enrolment evening at the Galway Mechanics Institute, Middle Street, on Monday September 21 between 6.30pm and 8pm. Classes will commence from September 28.
The Galway city branch will be playing at the official launch of Galway Culture Night at the Galway 2020 Hub in the Cornstore, Middle Street, tomorrow Friday September 18 at 5pm.
