New autumn series of business workshops to start

The new autumn series of business training courses has been launched by the Local Enterprise Office Galway.

The office, which is responsible for fostering business start-ups and developing existing micro and small businesses, will host the new series which starts on September 10.

Head of the Local Enterprise Office Galway, Breda Fox, says the workshops provide essential information and skills required by business start ups and existing businesses to run their business and to understand what they need to do to run their day to day operations effectively, maintaining customers and growing sales.

The programme sessions include: Learn how to plan and develop a website; Prepare simple accounts through Excel, and marketing tips and tricks for your business. There is also a practical workshop on how to start your own online business looking at: trends, market research, legal issues, costs involved, off the shelf versus bespoke development and digital marketing.

The workshops are relevant for people thinking of starting a business, especially the single operator who is self-employed, or those who are already in business and seeking opportunities to develop.

All training courses will be held at County Buildings on Prospect Hill, and the full list of training available on its website.
