The Connacht Property Auction sees forty per cent increase in UK and foreign buyers

The Connacht Property Auction has noted a significant uplift in foreign buyers looking to purchase in the west of Ireland. During the months of June, July, and August, the auction team have seen an increase of 40 per cent in enquiries for Galway, Mayo, and Clare from foreign based buyers. The majority of these are from the UK with sterling exchange rate remaining very strong while there are also strong enquiries from Australia, Germany, US, and Canada.

The auction team are now inviting entries for the upcoming auction on September 17 and expect another successful auction with the increased enquiries  from abroad along with continued local demand. The first three auctions to take place this year averaged more than 90 per cent sold and with demand expecting to continue into the end of the year, now is a good time to bring properties on to the market.

The company does not charge any upfront costs into the auction and takes on board all marketing and entry fees itself. Furthermore, the auction team will agree a fair seller's reserve with each property owner which is the minimum amount the property owner can walk away with.
