Rural Savage @ Strange Brew

RURAL SAVAGE are different. Unlike most punk bands, their dark humour, cynicism, and world view owe nothing to American hardcore and British Oi, but comes instead from the peculiarly strain of the music that is Ulster punk, pioneered by Stiff Little Fingers, The Undertones, Rudi, and The Outcasts.

The Galway based Donegal punk band return to the Róisín Dubh to play Strange Brew on Thursday Auust 6 at 9pm, where they will perform songs from their albums I Fell In The Bog And Saw God and It’s Not Your Wadi...It's Rural Savage, both of which bristle with perceptive insights into the urban/rural divide, middle class pretension, settled/Traveller relations, and Irish attitudes to drink and sex.

Support is from The Vincents, Synaesthete, and ESB featuring Perrry Blake. Admission is free.
