MARTYN BARKER is the drummer with Shreikback, and he has also performed with Billy Bragg, Robert Plant, Marianne Faithful, and Goldfrapp, but he comes to Galway in a different guise next week.
Barker is one half of progressive electro-folk duo Big World Blue with singer-songwriter Jo Beth Young, and they play the Backstage Bar at Monroe’s on Friday July 31 at 9pm. Their style is a combination of Jo Beth’s ethereal and otherworldly vocals, combined with her atmospheric electric guitar work, and Martyn’s melodic backing vocals.
