POETRY WORKSHOPS, for beginners, intermediate, and advanced levels, taught by acclaimed Galway poet Kevin Higgins, take place in the Galway Arts Centre next month.

Each workshop runs for eight weeks, starting May 12. The Tuesday classes (starting May 12, 7pm to 8.30pm ), and Friday classes (starting May 15, 2pm to 3.30pm ) are open to both complete beginners as well as those who have been writing for some time. The Thursday classes (starting May 14, 2pm to 4pm ) are an advanced workshop, suitable for those who have participated in poetry workshops before or had poems published in magazines.

Kevin is the author of the poetry collections The Boy With No Face (2006 ), Time Gentlemen, Please (2008 ), Frightening New Furniture (2010 ), and The Ghost In The Lobby (2014 ). All are published by Salmon Poetry.
