Jes Gathering to bring past and present together

Current and former parents, staff, and pupils of Coláiste Iognáid will come together for a night of fun and entertainment at the inaugural Jes Gathering early next month.

Also known as the Coláiste Cruinniu, the event will be held on May 1 in The Ardilaun with special guest Sean O'Rourke, past pupil and presenter of the Today show on RTE Radio 1.

“There has already been a lot of interest from former pupils with some travelling from overseas to attend,” said Jacinta O’Gorman, one of the organisers of the event.

The evening starts at 7pm and will include a drinks reception, dinner, and a short fundraising auction hosted by former pupil Colm O’Donnellan.

The top item in the auction will be a holiday for two in the five-star Jumeirah Beach Hotel, provided by another former pupil, Gerald Lawless, president and CEO of the Jumeirah Group, and return tickets from Dublin to Dubai sponsored by Emirates.

After dinner entertainment will be provided by the hugely popular Kif band, and the pre-dinner reception will have music by jazz band I Saw Stars.

Tickets are €55 each (10 per table ). Further information and bookings can be made through Siobhan Casey on 083 1029020 or Jacinta O’Gorman on 086 1031420 or by email to [email protected].
