Sign up for Saturday’s PREDA 5k Run for Freedom at Ballybrit

If you have the freedom to run, why not run for freedom? And do it around the historic track at Ballybrit, helping PREDA in the process. Do good and feel good by supporting PREDA, the Philippines based children's charity which strives to free children from adult prisons and rescue them from exploitation.

Its fourth annual PREDA GALWAY 5k Run for Freedom takes place at 12 noon this Saturday March 21 at the Galway racecourse at Ballybrit.

Fr Shay Cullen, PREDA founder and multiple Nobel Peace Prize nominee, will be in Galway supporting the run this year,

This is a charity run and is open to all - from club runners to joggers and walkers of all ages and abilities. There will be ample free parking, toilet facilities and loads of refreshments after the race. This year all finishers will have an opportunity to win one of a variety of spot prizes. All profits from the run go directly towards the work of PREDA in the Philippines.

Galway Rose Nicola Corcoran will be supporting the run and will be there on the day.

It is chip-timed, Jones counter measured and an Athletics Ireland permit, sponsored by Clare River Harriers, has been granted.

There is on-line registration at www.runireland.com

Race numbers may be collected between 10.00am and 11.30am on the day at the PREDA GALWAY 5k Run for Freedom Headquarters in the Millenium Stand at Ballybrit Racecourse. Late entries will be accepted on the morning of the race from 10.00am to 11.30am.
