The Riptide Movement - two nights at the Róisín

THE RIPTIDE Movement play blues and roots-rock with full blooded energy, a commitment to the music’s values and heritage, and determination to keep the style fresh for modern ears.

The band - Mal Tuohy (vocals/guitar ), Gar Byrne (drums ), Jay Dalton (guitar ), and Ger McCarry (bass ) - return to the Róisín Dubh to play two nights this month - Saturday November 8 and Sunday 9 at 8pm.

They also enjoyed critical acclaim. The Irish Times called them “magnificent and raw” while Golden Plec said the band “have proved that all the hype is in this case most definitely deserved”.

The Dublin quartet have released three albums, What About The Tip Jars (2009 ), Keep On Keeping On (2012 ), and this year’s Getting Through, which prompted State.ie to declare: “This is an album by a band with the talent and potential for major international success.”

Support is from Chelsey Chambers. Tickets are available at www.roisindubh.net, the Ticket Desk at OMG Zhivago, Shop Street, and The Róisín Dubh.
