Somerville to play Róisín Dubh

SOMERVILLE, the indie/experimental/soul music project of Corr na Móna’s Maria Somerville plays Strange Brew in the Róisín Dubh on Thursday August 14 at 9pm.

This show will be Somerville’s first with a full band. Her music is inspired by blues legends like Sister Rosetta Tharpe and Jon Hopkins; Black American civil rights anthems, soul, jazz, indie-rock, Van Morrison, electronica, and jazz.

She has already achieved much critical acclaim being named State magazine’s Face of 2014. She has also played Canadian Music Week, Toronto; Electric Picnic, and Hard Working Class Heroes.
