Does the connection between good health and what you eat interest you? Have you ever considered studying for a career in nutritional therapy? You can find out more at The College of Naturopathic Medicine’s open day at the Salthill Hotel, Galway, on June 14 from 1.30pm to 6.30pm.

People are becoming increasingly aware of the connection between wellness and nutrition and are choosing a drug free approach or an integrative approach to prevent, stabilise, and reverse disease processes.

Nutritional therapy is the application of nutritional science to promote optimal health and alleviate or prevent disease. This encompasses diet and lifestyle. It is based on scientific research and utilises an evidence-based approach to treatment. Lara Monaghan MSc Dip NT will be on hand to answer any questions you may have about training with the College of Naturopathic Therapy.

Nutritional therapy is effective in treating many common conditions such as weight and digestive disorders, blood sugar imbalances, skin problems, food allergies, stress, and chronic fatigue. The additional benefits of a naturopathic approach to health also acts to prevent the common lifestyle diseases such as hypertension, cardiovascular disease, and type II diabetes.

A diploma in nutritional therapy with CNM provides graduates with the knowledge, skills, and competence to be highly effective practitioners.
