‘One-stop-shop’ to get people on electoral register

A ‘One Stop Shop’, to allow people get on the Supplemental Register of Electors and be able to vote on May 23, is being opened by the Galway City Council.

The ‘One Stop Shop’ will be held in the reception area, City Hall, College Road, tomorrow and Tuesday between 9.30am and 4pm. A council official and a member of An Garda Siochána will be present. Those coming to the ‘shop’ should bring photo ID and a house bill with them.

The ‘shop’ has been welcomed by Independent Galway City West councillor Catherine Connolly, who has campaigned for such an initiative.
