Viking exhibition to be screened at The Eye

FOLLOWING THE discovery of a Viking boat and weapons in Lough Corrib, Galwegians can discovery more about this Scandinavian culture at an event at The Eye Cinema.

Vikings Live is a live cinema event produced by the British Museum, which takes place on Thursday April 24 at 7pm. Live via satellite, from London to The Eye Cinema, Wellpark, Galwegians will have a live guided tour of the Vikings: Life and Legend exhibition at the British Museum.

Vikings Live will be introduced by the museum’s director Neil MacGregor and presented by historians Michael Wood and Bettany Hughes. Exhibition curator Gareth Williams and leading world experts will take cinema audiences through the exhibition, getting up close to objects and exploring the global contacts, ships and swords, burials and beliefs of the Viking Age as well as examining the Vikings’ enduring legacy.
