IIHCS appointed test centre for key Mandarin language exams

The Irish International Hotel and Catering School has announced that it has been appointed by the Confucius Institute in UCC as a test centre for the YCT and HSK exams (Mandarin language exams administrated by Hanban the cultural department of the Chinese government ).

The IIHCS is the first test centre in the west of Ireland and held its first exam on Friday March 21.

There are six levels of examination in the YCT exams which are aimed at younger learners/beginners. Classes are available through the IIHCS and also in many primary and secondary schools in conjunction with the Irish Chinese Society Galway.

All teachers are native speakers and are approved by Hanban and the Confucius Institute. Classes are run regularly during the year for both adults and children in the IIHCS.
