HUGO HAMILTON, the author of acclaimed novel, The Speckled People, will read at this year’s Cúirt literature festival.
Hamilton - along with fellow Dubliner Roddy Doyle - will read from his new book, Every Single Minute, in the Town Hall Theatre on Thursday April 10 at 8.30pm. Published in February, the book details Hugo’s trip to Berlin with his friend Nuala O’Faolain, who passed away only 10 days after their holiday.
Also reading at Cúirt will be the award winning American poet Nikky Finney (along with Eleanor Hooker) on Saturday April 12 at 4pm in the Town Hall Theatre studio.
South Carolina born Finney has written four books of poetry - On Wings Made of Gauze (1985), Rice (1995), Heartwood (1997), The World Is Round (2003), and Head Off & Split (2011).
