Short Film Awards 2014

FRIDAY MAY 9 at 12 noon is the deadline for entries to the Galway Film Centre’s 2014 Short Film Awards, in association with RTÉ.

The award scheme is specifically for new short Irish fiction films and is open to emerging filmmakers with original scripts that display a strong cinematic vision. There are two cash awards of €9,500 each for the two best scripts submitted to the GFC.

Scripts should be a maximum of 10 pages and a full list of conditions is on www.galwayfilmcentre.ie Application forms are available on request from [email protected].

Last year’s winners were The Weather Report, directed by Paul Murphy, and Our Unfenced Country, directed by Niamh Heery. The latter premiered at the recent Chicago Irish Film Festival and both films will screen at this month’s Belfast Film Festival.
