Graham’s School of Motoring turns 45 this year

A Galway driving school which has been advertising with the Galway Advertiser classifieds since the first edition in 1970 is marking its 45th year in business this year.

Graham’s School of Motoring was founded in 1969 by Frank Graham and the tradition of quality tuition has been handed down to the next generation to his son Alan. A few years ago, Alan was the first person in Ireland to be presented with the Approved Driving Instructor (ADI ) Certificate by RSA chairman Gay Byrne.

Alan Graham has more than 25 years’ safe driving experience and is an Advanced Driver with the Institute of Advanced Motorists, as well as holding the Gold Award with RoSPA (Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents ).

These accolades are in addition to the FETAC Level 6 awards in Car Driving Instruction, Passenger Vehicle Driving Instruction, Motorcycle driving Instruction and Goods Vehicle Driving Instruction, as he is one of the few local driving instructors to be qualified to instruct in multiple categories.
