Electra mourns the death of her father, Agammenon, at the hands of her mother, Clytemnestra, and her lover, Aegisthus. She also hungers for justice until a familiar-looking stranger arrives and transforms the fate Electra and her family.
“Electra is the female Hamlet,” Frank McGuinness said, “calling a whole life into question, a woman utterly exposed by her own terror.”
The production features first year BA to MA to PhD level students, as well as several alumni.
Tickets are €10/5 and are available at the Socs Box on campus or by calling 091-492852.
