THE DISCONAUTS, 110TH Street, and Nuff’Said! are among the acts who will be spinning the decks at the Electric Garden over Christmas.
It all kicks off tomorrow with the Bap To The Future Christmas party, featuring DJs Lumigraph and Boya.
Lumigraph (aka Gareth Smyth ) released his debut album Nautically Inclined this year and followed it with the Yacht Crusier EP. His music falls into the vein of rough hewn house and techno, and displays a deep-rooted appreciation of African music and dub.
Boya (Davin Conaty ) operates in a similar murky hinterland of subsumed sonics and emotionally resonant grooves as Lumigraph. He has just released the Boya EP. Support is from Noid The Droid. Admission is €5 before midnight.
Get Deeper will present Galway producer Nuff’Said! on Friday December 27. Expect low-end, synthy, melodic, four-on-the-floor music that will have people going wild on the dancefloor.
110th Street arrives on Saturday 28 in Factory, with DJs Cian Ó Ciobhaín and Cyril Briscoe spinning house, disco, techno, and base.
On New Year’s Eve Dublin/London house collective The Disconauts play a full live set in the Garden, where DJs Padraig and Keith will be joined by percussionist Mark Logan.
The Epoch clubnight will host Christmas and New Year’s Eve parties in Factory. The Christmas party takes place this Saturday with DJs Lynam, Colin Finnegan, and Enda. For NYE it has Dublin’s Lunar Disko DJ crew to usher in 2014.
