WIN’s funding bequest comes to an end

Galway Advertiser,

WIN – West of Ireland Networking is an independent, not-for-profit organisation limited by guarantee. To date they have been funded entirely by the Maureen O’Connell Fund through St Vincent de Paul which has allowed WIN to grow and provide vital services to those who are unemployed or underemployed in the West of Ireland.

As the bequest is coming to a close, this funding has come to an end and they are now seeking alternative ways to fund WIN from private donations and corporate sponsorship. All contributions will be fully audited and go towards the running of our central office which supports and co-ordinates WIN’s work in the community and new programme: “When it’s Time for Change, The Holistic Approach”. They have devised a programme that is set to energise, engage and inspire unemployed and underemployed people; those who are about to be made redundant and to help make the changes that need to be made to progress on your own path.

This training programme connects and re-connects people who may be in circumstances of personal or social isolation with one another. This is enhanced by the addition of a follow up service in the format of The Buddy Sessions.
