TODAY MARKS the release of Loose Ends, the debut solo album of Galway singer, musician, and songwriter Neil O’Connor.
The album can be listened to, or downloaded for €5.99, on Neil’s Bandcamp site: neiloconnor7.bandcamp.com/album/loose-ends Loose Ends was recorded over the past year in Neil’s home studio where he played most of the instruments heard on the album’s 10 tracks.
“It is not really a singer/songwriter type record as most of the songs sound like a full band bashing away,” says Neil. “My influences range from Primal Scream to Mark Lanegan but Loose Ends doesn’t sound like any of these. It’s bluesy, gritty, dark, light, atmospheric in parts, and honest. This is an album made in Galway with themes influenced by the experience of living here all my life.”
Physical copies will be available in the near future and watch out for gigs in the New Year.
