Moody blues for men
What will the best dressed men be wearing this autumn/winter? The international catwalk collections indicate palettes of moody blues and stone greys, a play on baseball jackets and new fabrics with oversized box and check patterns.
This season sees the Casamoda brand turning these fashion statements into wearable style. Inspired by Nordic landscapes and arctic adventures, its shirt and knitwear collections generate moody colour contrasts and manliness, while signature detailing play on discipline.
Think of the snow capped grey Scandinavian mountains, evergreens and chilly coastal blues, this baseline colour palette contrasts with the warmth of campfires and wild flowers.
Its block colour and patterned cotton fabrics are intricately woven. Consistency of quality is central in each piece with the use of handpicked cotton to ensure premium quality shirts and knitwear. This season brings new neck and cuff ribbed lines in knits, discreet fabric contrasts in shirts with button down or wider collars offering a worn open option to reveal stylish fabric contrasts in addition to giving more variety to the wearer, regardless of size.
Casamoda Sport brings together a variety of checks and plaids with opposite block and stripe finishes inserted on cuffs and collars, it’s all in the detail. Deeper tones mixed with vibrant colours create a kaleidoscope palette reminiscent of the Nordic terrains. Stitching and button threads enrich the finish of each shirt.
Autumn/winter at Casamoda Club introduces distinctive thread lines, double stitching on collars, cuffs and breast pockets. Buttons provide a fashionable touch to some shirts with check ones for check shirts and contrast colour buttons for block colours. Tie bands are sewn into the collar of shirts, giving the wearer an extra touch of sophistication when it comes to donning a shirt and tie.
The luxury of Prima cotton in Casamoda knits provides a luxurious effect. Yarns come in both light and heavy weights, the perfect complement to the variety of shirt styles.
The V or crew neck sweaters add a twist this season with a darker band of colour around cuffs and necklines. Other neckline styles come with one to three button closing cowl collars and are reinforced with twill or cord for snugness. Baseball style cardigans can double up as jackets, weather permitting.
