Kidnap Alice play toinight

EAST LONDON folk/bluegrass/soul sextet Kidnap Alice play upstairs at the Róisín Dubh this evening at 9pm, as part of their first Irish tour.

Since making their debut festival performance at Glastonbury 2010, and releasing their self-titled debut album in 2011, Kidnap Alice have enjoyed critical acclaim for their mix of r’n’b and Appalachian music.

Folk Roots magazine has praised their “intelligent songwriting, brooding smoky ballads and both sensitive and butane-propelled instrumental playing”; Mock The Week’s Chris Addison described them as “excellent...smokin’bluegrass-soul-folk...Recommended”.
