Team of forty running for Manuela Riedo Foundation in the Connemarathon

Forty people will be running in the upcoming 12th Connemarathon in support of the Manuela Riedo foundation, with the runners being led by foundation founder Shane Lennon.

The Connemarathon takes place on Sunday April 7 and will consist of a half marathon (13k ), a full marathon (26k ), and an ultra-marathon (39k ).

“I chose the Connemarathon as it coincided with my 40th birthday,” said Mr Lennon. “I decided to have a birthday with a difference and get about 40 people to join me in the run and raise money for a good cause.”

The Manuela Riedo foundation is to help and support rape victims and their families across Europe. The goal is to raise €5,000 for the charity with the help of Jimmy Norman, Phil Cawley, Lucia Evans, and Sinead Desmond, who will also be running in the marathon.
