The County Galway Integration and Diversity Interagency Group is a partnership of community, local development, local authority, statutory, and voluntary organisations which, under the chair of Delia Colohan, chief executive officer of Galway Rural Development Co Ltd, worked on developing the strategy. Funding for the strategy came from the Office of the Minister for Integration, now the Office for the Promotion of Migrant Integration. The interagency group is strongly committed to implementing key actions which will assist in enhancing diversity and promoting interculturalism in County Galway.
