Galway company awarded Deloitte accolade

Galway company Lifes2good Health and Beauty has won the accolade of Deloitte Best Managed Company.

Twenty companies which operate at the highest levels of business performance were recognised at an awards gala dinner in the Burlington Hotel in Dublin attended by former Taoiseach and chairman of IFSC Ireland, John Bruton.

The Deloitte Best Managed Companies Awards Programme, in association with Irish Life, recognises indigenous Irish companies across the island of Ireland which operate at the highest levels of business performance. The programme is unique in that it recognises the efforts of the entire organisation, not just one individual.

Established in 1997, Lifes2good is a rapidly expanding, multi-million global health and beauty business, marketing and distributing a portfolio of category-leading, exclusive, and clinically proven brands.

Lifes2good’s chief operating officer Tom Tierney, said the staff were delighted to win the award.

“ We have shown how a relatively small business has taken on an industry, historically dominated by internationally recognised brands, identifying a niche and succeeding through innovation, outstanding marketing and the talent of an exceptional team of people. “We are absolutely delighted to win Deloitte’s Best Managed Company Award, as these awards recognise the consistency and durability of our performance and the sustainability of our business model and strategy.”

Of the 20 winners, 12 companies are based in Leinster, four are based in Ulster, three in Munster and one in Connacht. The winners came from a variety of different industries including manufacturing, ICT, hospitality and catering, outsourcing, and design and print, among others.
