Witnesses asked to contact gardaí following city centre assault

Gardaí have appealed for information following an incident in which two men were assaulted in the city centre in the early hours of Saturday.
Both men received facial injuries in the incident, which occurred between 1.30am and 1.45am outside Brown Thomas on William Street.
Gardaí have examined CCTV footage of the area and wish to speak to two men who were in the area and who witnessed the incident. These men left the scene when the gardaí arrived. They are asked to contact Garda Padraig O’Connor at Galway Garda Station, phone 091 538000.
