Fr Ned Crosby to launch new book of poetry

Fr Ned Crosby, one of the most popular and respected Roman Catholic priests in Galway, will launch his new book of poetry this evening.

Windows, Fr Crosby’s fourth collection, will be launched in Charlie Byrne’s Bookshop this evening at 6pm. The book costs €10 and all profits will go towards a housing project in Haiti which is being run by Galway woman Sr Rose of Jesus and Mary Sisters in Salthill.

Fr Crosby has served as a priest in Hillside, Ballybane, Clare Island off Co Mayo, and in Lima, Perú, where he worked with street children and as a prison chaplain, where he had to minister to members of the Shining Path terrorist group. His experiences as a cleric at home and abroad have given him a unique insight into matters social, political, cultural, and spiritual.
