Over The Edge Writers’ Gathering

THE OVER The Edge Writers’ Gathering takes place in the Galway City Library on Thursday July 12 at 6.30pm.

There will be a showcase reading from County Galway based Doire Press poets and authors - Jacqueline Murrary Loring, Celeste Augé, Kevin O’Shea, and John Walsh. There will also be readings by American writers Mark Conway and Maura Mulligan.

Derry born, Connemara based, John Walsh has three collections of poetry - Johnny Tell Them, Love’s Enterprise Zone, Chopping Wood With TS Eliot, and a short story collection Border Lines

Jacqueline Murrary Loring is a screenwriter, playwright, poet, and is the president of the Cape Cod Chapter of the National League of American Pen Women.

Irish-Canadian Celeste Augé has a collection of poetry, The Essential Guide to Flight (Salmon Poetry ) and a collection of stories, Fireproof and Other Stories, published by Doire Press.

Kevin O’Shea’s debut collection of poetry, The Art of Non-Fishing, will be published by Doire Press.

Mark Conway’s Dreaming Man, Face Down won the 2009 American Poetry Journal Book Prize. His poems have appeared in numerous leading international journals.

Maura Mulligan’s memoir, Call Of The Lark is just published by Greenpoint Press New York. She has been a telephone operator and a nun.
