Jung Turks release new album

JUNG TURKS, one of the most uncompromising avant garde bands in Ireland, are about to release their second album - Spielpermar Spielparmid.
The band are brothers James (drums/percussion/electronics/tabla/voice) and Edward Rooney (amplified nylon string guitar/bass/mandolin/keys/kora/voice). The album is a furious collision of percussion, avant garde experimentation, classical and jazz influenced guitar, and sinister vocals.
The cover art is Playing at Stallions by the Wexford based artist Paddy Lennon. Edward first came across Lennon’s work at an exhibition in Galway and “was blown away”.
“This piece informed our work on the record in a major way, so sincere thanks to Paddy for his permission in having it grace the cover,” says Edward.
