Laser Swimming Club is celebrating its recent award as Connacht Club of the Year 2012.
The Galway-based club received the accolate at the recent Swim Ireland Awards Ceremony in Belfast.
And there was double jubilation for the club when its president, Tony Farrell, was elected president of the national governing body, Swim Ireland.
Farrell is one of the founding members of Laser Swimming Club which was first formed in 1993. His commitment to swimming was rewarded last year with a national award volunteers in Irish Sports.
