The search continues for the 2012 Galway Rose

The time is fast approaching for the selection of this year’s Galway Rose, at a glittering event which will take place at the Carlton Shearwater Hotel in Ballinasloe on Easter Saturday, April 7.

The Galway Rose centre is a hub of activity with plenty of interest being shown by beautiful young women from across Galway and applications are still being received in their droves.

At the Galway Rose Selection event the lucky winner will receive a host of incredible prizes including Newbridge Silverware jewellery, a spa and overnight stay Carlton Hotel voucher, an outfit from Ladies Day Boutique in Portumna, a hamper from Lil Luv Crafts, beauty salon treatments, hair treatments, and accessories all donated by local Galway businesses. In addition, she will receive a complimentary week in Portlaoise for the Rose of Tralee regional finals and a chance to represent Galway at the International Festival. She will also gain valuable experience as an ambassador for Galway county and the Rose of Tralee International Festival.

The Galway Rose entrants will get to meet each other for the first time at an information and social evening on Sunday March 25 at the Carlton Galway City Hotel, where they will learn more about what will happen in the next couple of weeks leading up to the Galway Rose Selection. Also in attendance will be 2011 Galway Rose Claire Keane who will be on hand to give vital advice to the prospective Roses.
