Galway boost national men’s volleyball

Seventeen Galway players have been named on this year’s Irish National Men’s Volleyball squads which will sponsored by Loughrea-based GIVOVA Sportswear.

Loughrea boasts all 17 players in the junior, senior and development panels.

Coach Laurent Cauet says Loughrea is becoming a real stronghold for volleyball in Ireland.

“The two local schools, St Raphael and St Brigid’s, are providing our national squad with lots of talented players, and over the last two seasons more than 17 players are from this area.

“I am also glad to see that we are getting a strong support from GIVOVA Sportswear which is willing to help us in our aim to develop our squad and our potential. GIVOVA has just provided us with new match kits and we are proud to be associated with such brand.”

Maura Winters, the official GIVOVA supplier for Ireland, will sponsor the squad with match kits and training tops. The Italian brand is now one of the main partners of the squad for the coming season.
