Fire crews in Galway are battling the city's biggest blaze for decades.

The blaze has destroyed at least five business premises at the Riverside Commercial Estate on the Tuam Road.

The fire is believed to have started in the LIquidation Store/Car Parts store and spread to the adjoining premises such as the Black Dragon Kickboxing Club gym, the Futon Store, Cara Office Supplies, as well as to Cases Wine warehouse and Cunniffe Electric.
