Where’s your Chrimbo woolly?

The Latin Quarter is going to kick off this festive season in style (or maybe not! ) for the first Christmas Jumper Day on Friday December 10. A ‘great’ Christmas jumper would be classed as ‘cheesy’ or even ‘tacky’, and would be more akin to the look of  a decorated Christmas tree as opposed to regular fashion styles. If you are looking for inspiration just ask yourself ‘what would Cliff Richard wear’ for a Christmas no. 1 video. Get the picture! Christmas Jumper Day is a celebration of the jumpers that we would normally cast aside and send to a box never to be opened that you would store in your attic.

There will be prizes for the best, as in ‘worst’, jumpers on the day and only the most brutal will be in the running. So if it lights up, or plays a jingle, has a large santas head or just the most horrific big patterns you can find, this is the jumper that will be in fashion on Friday December 10 in The Latin Quarter.

Christmas Jumper Day is in aid of 4 charities, GOAL, Enable Ireland, ISPCC and the Alan Kerins Project. If your company want to get involved just e-mail [email protected] for more information.

The charities are GOAL, Enable Ireland and the Alan Kerins Project. Employers in Galway are asked to waive anything to do with uniforms if their staff agree to wear a Christmas jumper on the day. People are also asked to make a donation to the charities involved.
