Sligo Live Sessions 2010

ACCLAIMED IRISH group Republic of Loose have just been confirmed for the Sligo Live Sessions which takes place over the October Bank Holiday weekend.

Other popular acts which have been confirmed are Grammy Award Winner Mary Chapin Carpenter, North Carolina native Tift Merritt, The Alan Kelly Quartet with Special Guest Eddi Reader, Crooked Still, Lloyd Cole and The Lost Brothers, Jerry Fish and the Mudbug Club, Dervish, Moya Brennan, Cormac De Barra and Kevin Burke.

With more than 100 Events and 250 artists there really is something for all the family. Other highlights include: All Day Café Culture sessions, Trad Sessions, Fiddler of Dooney Competition, Street Markets, Fantastic Street Family Fun including jugglers, magicians, mime, puppets, face painting, and the hilarious World Air Fiddle Championships.

Festival goers will have the opportunity to enjoy many of the year round activities Sligo has to offer; some of Ireland’s best surfing, hill and forest walks, seaweed baths, boating, fishing, sailing, camping, golf, music archives, and an array of activities to tantalise young minds. Sligo Live Sessions 2010 takes place over the October Bank Holiday Weekend from Thursday, October 21st to Monday October 25th. A limited number of early bird tickets are currently on sale for €75.
