Enemies and The Cast Of Cheers @ Róisín Dubh

THE IRISH post-rock band Enemies will be performing tracks from their new album We’ve Been Talking when they play Strange Brew in the Róisín Dubh tonight at 9pm.

We’ve Been Talking, released in mid-June on the Richter Collective label, was recorded at the Hive Studios in their native Wicklow and mastered by TJ Lipple (MGMT, Aloha, and Medications ) in Washington DC.

The album is a serious shift away from previous material and guitarist Lewis Jackson has said: “Shorter, snappier intricate songs have replaced the building mood pieces of the previous EP and single.”

The Cast Of Cheers are arguably one of the most exciting bands to emerge in Ireland over the past year.

The Dublin quartet play post-rock styled songs that are loud, fast, and heavy. The intricate, duelling, guitar riffs of Conor and Neill is underpinned by the equally dextrous bass playing of John and the pile driving drumming of Kev.

It makes for a live music experience that is high on skill, ferocity, raw power, and relentless energy.

Admission is free and Gugai will be DJing afterwards.
