Capture a day in the life of Oughterard

The Clann Resource Centre is inviting people to get their cameras and camera phones out this Saturday at any time over a 24 hour period from 12.01am to 11.59pm to capture a day in the life of the area.

The organisation wants people to try to capture the essence of a day in the life of Oughterard and surrounding areas by taking photographs of people, buildings, animals, pets, nature, weather, landscape, rivers and lakes, special occasions, or whatever catches your eye.

The idea behind the project is to provide a social and historical record of Oughterard and surrounding areas for this and future generations.

Participants are being asked to choose three photographs, with a recorded time for each, and email them to [email protected] along with your name, address, and telephone number by Wednesday April 14.

All photographs will be shown in a slide show in the Oughterard Tourist Information Office during the Oughterard Arts Festival from April 23 to 25. If there is an overwhelming response only one photograph per person will be shown.

By participating in this project you are giving permission for Clann Resource Centre to use your photographs in this and any other future project. You will be notified if this is the case.
