The Village Nursing Care Centre

The Village Nursing Care Centre is located at Ballygarriff between Craughwell, Clarinbridge, and Oranmore. The centre opened its doors in 2005 and has since provided an outstanding level of care and service to its residents.

The Village offers a variety of services, from long term residential care to rehabilitation services as well as respite care, day care, and post-operative care. Most recently the centre has added a home care option, providing a much needed service to the local community. The home care service is a unique service offering clients a combination package of home care visits, day care at the centre, and medical holidays in addition to access to the specialised care services available at The Village.

Many of the in-house services and facilities available at The Village are unique to the care centre and have resulted in The Village Nursing Care Centre achieving a reputation as one of the premier nursing care facilities in the country. These services include full time physiotherapy, occupational therapy, complementary medicine, recreational therapy, and a busy activities schedule.

The Village Care Centre has a specially adapted greenhouse which provides fresh produce for residents, and also boasts a full time hair salon which is open to residents and non-residents. The central courtyard is accessible from a number of the residents’ bedrooms, with other rooms benefiting from private gardens.

The Village Nursing Care Centre was created from the vision of its owner, Dr Bhatti. Much of the infrastructure is based on Dr Bhatti's design with many ideas garnered from leading care centres worldwide, particularly from the USA and Canada. More importantly, the culture of care and the ethos of the organisation is set by Dr Bhatti to ensure the highest standards of care and service.

Dr Bhatti has worked in Co Galway for more than 30 years, in University College Hospital, Merlin Park Hospital, Portiuncula Hospital, and St Brigid’s Hospital in Ballinasloe. In recent years he has concentrated on complementary medicine and operates at The Clinic of Complementary and Natural Medicine in Galway city and at his clinic at The Village Nursing Care Centre.
