The twenties comes to The Dáil Bar

The 1920s was a time of hot jazz, prohibition, illegal speakeasies, a bathtub gin, gangsters, and silent film stars, now Galway will have a chance to experience it again.

The Cotton Club arrives at The Dáil Bar on Thursday November 12 at 9pm to resurrect the spirit of the era known as the Roaring Twenties, and all are welcome.

There will be jazz, swing, and songs from Nicola McGuire, Fat Sam and his trusty Molls Minnie (The Moocher ), and Dixie.

The Cotton Club in Galway is inspired by its namesake which was a famous nightclub in New York which operated during prohibition. During its heyday it was favoured by stars and gangsters and served as a chic meeting spot.
