Warlords of Pez Hallowe’en Extravaganza @ Róisín Dubh

FROM DEEP galactic space, the Warlords of Pez are cybernetically advanced, sonically aggressive space aliens, whose music fuses deepspace death metal, low-light sex cabaret, and New Age electric bongo madness.

That is how they describe themselves so expect the unexpected, be prepared for the outrageous, and be ready, willing, and able to be wild, when this freaky bunch of freaks’ show hits Galway this weekend.

The Warlords Of Pez Hallowe’en Extravaganza takes place in the Róisín Dubh this Saturday at 9pm, when the Warlords become the house band for the venue’s fancy dress party. So make sure you come adorned in your most ghoulish and/or outrageous gear for what will be one hell of a night.

The band are consummate showman Turbo Apocalypse; the reckless Deepspace Donkeybite; the dangerous Max Megadoom; evil genius Doctor Burglestein; the even more evil Deklekon; and the perverted Disco Bloodbox.

Their plan? The annihilation of all intelligent beings unfortunate enough to cross their paths. These handsome hooded anti-heroes by means of their own particular brand of sonic terrorism intend to wipe the collective smiles from the faces of all mankind and bring about the end of civilisation as we know it.

According to The Irish Times: “The Warlords are like the You’ve Been Framed of rock. Addictive, you want to turn over but you can’t. You know the baby’s going to fall off the swing, so you have to keep watching!”. Hotpress has called them “surreal, innovative, hilarious, the alternative to the dull Dublin singer-songwriter scene.”

Admission is €10/5. Tickets are available from the Róisín Dubh and Zhivago. Graham Dolan will be DJing afterwards and remember FANCY DRESS IS ESSENTIAL!
